Olga Kurylenko To Reveal The Fifth Design From Suzy Amis Cameron’s Red Carpet Green Dress On The Oscar Carpet

Actress Olga Kurylenko will have the honor of walking the red carpet at the 86th annual Academy Awards on March 2nd for Red Carpet Green Dress. Kurylenko’s gown will be the sustainable vision of contest winner Alice Elia, a student of ESMOD in Paris, where she is currently being mentored through dress construction by the college’s couture team. This year marks the fifth anniversary of Red Carpet Green Dress which was conceived by Suzy Amis Cameron during the press tour for her husband James Cameron’s film Avatar. Her hope was to draw attention to the importance of more sustainable practices in fashion. “As I reflect on the past five years of the campaign, my thoughts are immediately drawn to the challenges we’ve faced in creating these gorgeous sustainable gowns,” says Amis Cameron. “While there are still great strides to be made, it’s important to point out that there are a greater number of sustainable resources available to designers today than there were five years ago.”

The campaign also raises funds for MUSE School CA, a nonprofit educational organization that Amis Cameron co-founded in Malibu Canyon. Award-winning actress Olga Kurylenko came to international prominence starring opposite Daniel Craig in the Bond film Quantum of Solace. Kurylenko established her career in France following her debut performance as a leading actress in the film L’Annulaire, and she has since occupied roles in The Water Diviner opposite Russell Crowe, Oblivion opposite Tom Cruise, Hitman, There Be Dragons and Terence Malick’s To The Wonder. “What a privilege it will be to wear Alice’s gorgeous design on the red carpet for the campaign’s fifth year, which is such a milestone for Suzy and everyone involved,” comments Kurylenko. “It’s a great honor to have been asked.”  Read more

“I created Red Carpet Green Dress to raise funds for MUSE School CA and also to bring more attention to sustainability,” explains Amis Cameron. “With over 60% of the student body at MUSE on financial aid, it is hugely important that we have companies like Previse SkinCare who understand the importance of getting involved and lending a hand to this and the future generations of children.” MUSE School CA is a non-profit, educational organization in Malibu Canyon, CA, co-founded by Amis Cameron, which inspires and prepares young people to live consciously with themselves, one another and the planet.

A message from Suzy Amis Cameron

February 2013

Dear MUSE School CA Advocates,

It is with great pleasure I share with you a significant fundraising initiative sponsored by our friends at Previse SkinCare.

To help celebrate the fifth anniversary of Red Carpet Green Dress we worked with Previse to curate an exclusive set of products. The series is called Red Carpet SkinRescue. Personalized gift-sets are available through March 31, 2014, at www.previsecare.com. Previse is generously offering proceeds from each sale to MUSE School CA. Our goal is to raise $20,000!

How does Previse SkinCare’s mission align to the Red Carpet Green Dress and MUSE School CA? Two ways. First, all three organizations are environmentally focused. At Previse SkinCare their ZeroSilicone recipes are free of harsh preservatives, skin clogging silicones, petroleum and synthetic oils. Second, Previse SkinCare President and CEO, Sean Patrick Harrington adds, “At Previse our orientation is 100% education. We passionately believe the world can be a safer, healthier, kinder place by connecting people who share this passion with one another. We created a company with natural, bio-safe recipes (safe for the person, safe for the home, safe for the community, safe for the planet) that people want to share with one another.”

Previse is making available, while supplies last, one their award-winning sunscreens, SunSheer or SunSheer SuperChill as a complimentary gift with each SkinRescue Kit. Like all Previse products, SunSheer and SunSheer SuperChill are free of all petroleum, parabens, PEGs, phthalates, synthetic dyes and fragrances. The luxurious recipes are silky, hydrating and protective. Just be sure to use SheerMUSE or ChillMUSE in the coupon code box during checkout.
